There’s a very nice little piece in today’s Observer about the current revival of English Folk music among young people. It’s something I’ve been into for many years and it’s nice to see it beginning to shake off its (only partially deserved) image of chunky sweaters, beards and fingers in the ear. If you haven’t yet investigated it, theres an incredibly rich tradition of wonderful music, great songs and stories and, if you’re that way inclined, dance out there.
