It's not even like it was an accident - they deliberately removed an attribution! What's more, the website was highly temperamental for the first week or so - was rejecting something like 2/3rds of requests. Tell you what though, I was surprised to see so many 3rd party widgets: Flickr, Youtube and Twitter. Shame there's no last.fm... What a shame.
