I Passed!
I’ve just checked the website where the PRINCE2 exam results are posted, as I have been doing every so often, and my results are there at last. The good news is that I passed the Practitioner exam, which is fantastic news if for no other reason than because it means I won’t have to re-sit that horrible exam. I’m really chuffed.
Odd Week
It’s been a bit weird at work this week. I handed in my notice on Tuesday, having found a truly fantastic new job which I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into, and now the whole feel of the office has changed. I’d forgotten just how strange and detached it feels when you know you’ll be leaving soon.
Children In Need
Tonight the BBC runs its regular charity appeal, Children In Need. Now, I’ve got nothing against getting people to give a few quid for a worthy cause but, as far as television goes, this is about as bad as it can get. Several hours of endlessly-repeated phone numbers interspersed with back-slapping minor celebrities and ’special’ versions of popular shows. Tell you what, guys, I’ll sell everything I own and give you the money if you’ll promise to take this crap off and never allow it to darken my screen again.
Numb Bum
There was frost on the seat of the bike this morning. There’s nothing quite like a cold backside to wake you up, believe me.
I Am Now Ancient
Today is my birthday. Hooray! In fact, today I am 40 years old, with very strong emphasis on the word ‘old’. Oddly, I don’t feel any more elderly or infirm than I did yesterday or, in fact, twenty years ago. I suspect I shall be saying much the same thing when I’m seventy.
A Sad Day For Education
I’d heard that the education system in the USA is shite but it’s just plumbed new depths. Redefining ’science’ so that you can call Intelligent Design a proper scientific theory is a particular stroke of stupidity. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so damaging.
Monitor Arch
An arch made of monitors. How cool is that?
